We are pleased that you want to study at HTW Dresden!
You can easily apply for a degree program online – here’s how it works:
- Step 1: You register in the application portal.
- Step 2: You activate your application account by e-mail.
- Step 3: You submit an application for one or more courses in the portal.
Regular application deadlines
You have the best chance of getting the course you want if you apply within the regular application deadline. It ends
- on 15th January of the year with the start of studies in the summer semester and
- on 15th July of the year with the start of studies in the winter semester.
This deadline must be met for the bachelor's degree programs that participate in the central allocation procedure (DoSV). For everyone else, the application period will be extended as follows.
Extension of the application deadline
You can also apply for most courses after the regular application period has expired, as long as they are still offered in the application portal. This is usually possible till March 15th or October 15th. You will find an overview of the degree programs for which applications are still possible no later than two days after the end of the regular application period on our "Free study places" website.
In the interest of better readability, the simultaneous use of the masculine, feminine and divers forms is avoided within the application portal. In the following, all genders are always meant.
To use the application portal, we recommend a desktop PC with the latest version of the Chrome browser.
